The Turkish Get-up | 45 mins

This workshop focuses on learning the Full Turkish Get-up. This whole-body exercise is worth investing some energy into for its incredible fitness benefits, including the critical functionality of getting oneself off the ground. The Turkish Get-up develops and improves: shoulder strength, stability and mobility; extension and rotation of the thoracic spine; hip and leg mobility; linking of motor patterns by building body awareness and training proper patterns of movement; plus core strength; balance, coordination and spacial awareness. Learn how to perform the Turkish Get-up and regressed versions to suit your level, and add this powerful exercise to your fitness routine.

Kettlebell Basics  | 60 mins

This non-intimidating workshop will focus specifically on learning kelllebell techniques, fundamental to all kettlebell training. Learn various ways to hold a kettlebell, basic movements, and the Queen of all kettlebell exercises - the Kettlebell Swing. Learn good posture and kettlebell swing regressions in order to master this important and powerful exercise. This workshop is ideal for beginners who would like to join the regular Kettlebell Workout class and it is also suited to existing class participants wishing to improve technique and correct any bad habits. Kettlebell training is amazing!

This fun and challenging workshop will focus on development of balance, coordination, core strength, and reactivity. Balance is fundamental at any age and any skill level, for better mobility and strength which is required for daily activity, sport and performance. Included will be balance assessments, and novel drills. How good is your balance? Roll Release | 60 mins

This workshop will teach foam, ball and other rolling techniques that can enable effective stretching, and muscle activation prior to strength workouts. Releasing muscles using rolling techniques, ensures use of the correct muscles during exercise. Loosening and engaging muscles prior to exercise avoids perpetuating imbalanced movement patterns and injury. Rolling techniques are also an effective way to relieve Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) post workout, and muscle tension at the end of the day. ​​
